JUDICIAL DISTRICTS MAP & STATE COURT DIRECTORY
Utah has 29 Counties and those Counties are located within the eight (8) Judicial Districts of Utah. Each of the 29 counties has at least one District Court, a Juvenile Court, and one or more Justice Courts.
Justice Courts generally handle entry level criminal offenses such as traffic violations and class B misdemeanors. Class A misdemeanors and felonies are handled in the District Courts. As one would expect, Juvenile Courts handle the criminal cases of juveniles, i.e., under age 18.
